BMS by application

The same board behaves differently in a campervan and in a shed. These pages describe what each environment demands — the constraints, not a product recommendation.

01Choose your environment

Four environments, four different constraints

Each page lists the constraints that actually decide the selection — charge paths, peak duration, temperature, protocol — plus the mistakes we see most often in that environment.

  • RV / Campervan / Marine

In a vehicle or a boat, the load is intermittent and often inductive, the alternator is a second charging source, and the install is usually inside a confined space that nobody wants to open twice.

  • Off-grid Solar / Backup

A stationary system trades mobility for scale: higher series counts, larger continuous currents, and a duty cycle that is close to continuous. The failure mode that matters is thermal, not mechanical.

  • Electric Mobility

Traction loads are the harshest case for current ratings: high peak, fast repetition, and vibration that works loose any connection that was not mechanically secured.

  • Battery Repair / PACK

A workshop needs different things from a retail buyer: documentation at the board revision level, repeatable configuration, and a way to test a repair without risking a customer's pack.

Why no model is named on these pages

None of these pages name a specific model, because we have not yet verified enough models to name one honestly. When the catalogue opens, the recommendation will appear on the product page with a source attached — not here.

If you already know your configuration and want a fit check, send us the details. Four things make it answerable in one round: board revision, cell chemistry, series count, and what the pack powers.

03Next step

From constraints to a specific board

01

Work out the requirement

Enter chemistry, series count and load. You get the voltage window and the continuous current your pack needs — with the arithmetic shown.

02

Compare verified models

Every board in the catalogue has its series range, continuous current and port arrangement checked against the manufacturer's documents before it is listed.

Get a fit check

Send the model and your pack details. A technician confirms it fits — or tells you it does not, which is just as useful before you buy.
