Plain summary

We collect the minimum needed to answer your enquiry and to fulfil an order. We run no analytics or advertising trackers. Payment card data never reaches this site — it is handled entirely by Shopify and PayPal on their hosted checkout.

What we collect, and why

Enquiry data. When you use the Contactpage, your message is composed in your own email client and sent to a monitored address. We receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include (model, pack details, destination). We use it only to answer the enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest / steps prior to a contract.
Order data. If you place an order, Shopify (our storefront and checkout provider) and PayPal (our payment provider) process your name, delivery address, email, order contents and payment status. We receive the order details needed to fulfil and support it. We never see or store your full card number. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, path) for security and fault diagnosis. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
No analytics, no advertising pixels. No analytics, tag manager or advertising tracker is loaded on this site.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set non-essential cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to. Two things do store data on your device:

Cart (local storage, not a cookie). Your cart is kept in your browser's localStorage under the key jkbms_cart, so it survives a page reload. It holds the product variant, quantity and the shipping country you selected. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
Checkout (essential cookies). When you continue to checkout, Shopify and PayPal set strictly necessary cookies to keep your session and process payment securely. These are essential to the transaction and are not used for tracking.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: for as long as needed to resolve them, then up to 24 months for reference.
Order and tax records: for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.
Server logs: a short rolling window for security and diagnostics.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the processors needed to run the store: Shopify (storefront, checkout, order management), PayPal (payments), our hosting provider, and the carrier that delivers your order. We do not sell personal data. Where a processor is outside the EEA, transfers rely on the safeguards that provider has in place (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, use the Contact form; we respond within the period required by law (normally one month). You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
